she laid down in sign of frustration, hid her face with her arms. then she put her arms away and she looked up the sky, she instantly felt better at the gaze of the sunrise. she really liked this, feeling both the ground and the sky. she soon fell asleep as she didn't sleep a lot that night.

she woke up after two good hours, she didn't instantly get up as she was still processing her thoughts. so she put her things back in her bag, she got up and she went to the closest library. she quietly took a book and sat down on an empty table. she put on some music, she found it relaxing to listen to Lo-Fi while she was reading.

she found it relatable, she couldn't really sleep at night as she was still thinking about someone. she shook her head whilst she was reading, she couldn't even concentrate as her thoughts were full of that person. at some point, she just stopped reading and just let out a loud sigh.

a hand suddenly tapped her shoulder which startled her. it was her! it was the mysterious odd girl. she giggled when she saw that she scared her. she instantly sat down in front of the other girl. Mia started writing on a piece of paper « what are u reading or what are u listening to to always look like you're close to cry? ». to be frank, Luna didn't think she was the type of girl who liked reading. she just didn't seem that type, not that she thought she was the dumbass type, she didn't picture her reading at a library but she could perfectly picture her reading at home with loud music and she could still concentrate on the book. well, she didn't really know her so she couldn't just assume things about her. back to the question... Luna didn't really know how to react, she didn't even know her name so it disturbed her a lot. she'd usually feel invaded with that question but she was actually glad that someone paid to the little details and noticed. she felt awkward though. she took the piece of paper and wrote: « i don't even know your name so how could expect me to give u that information? ». now that Luna thinks about it, Mia's handwriting was refined and mature, it was satisfying to see her handwriting. the short haired girl had this habit to pass her hand through her hair which Luna found really cute, Mia just chuckled when she noticed that Luna was staring. anyway, Mia took the piece and wrote: « maybe if i get to see u later, i'll tell u my name finally and u'll tell me about that sad face u always have. i'll see you at midnight. »

Luna understood that she was talking about her usual spot. she couldn't lie and just brush the fact that she was happy about this, that in a matter of fact, it wasn't gonna be the last time they'd see each other. she felt like the opposite of Cinderella, she could, in fact, show her real face after midnight without being judged.

it was midnight, at Luna's usual spot, she went there a bit earlier than the said time. she actually wanted to see the sunset but it was too late so instead she looked at the moon which wasn't bad either. there was no one so she could put her music on her speaker. her mood was always about the music she was listening to. this time, she was in the mood to listen to Joji:

it's a really sad song but she couldn't help feel happy that she was able to appreciate this song in the dark. her body was moving along the rythmes of the song. she smiled to the imagination of the odd girl and her dancing to this song. she even wondered if she knew this but it was clearly impossible for her, she could completely picture her dancing and jamming to this song at home.

she really liked this mood, she was being carefree like she didn't give a damn about anything else. each time the chorus was on, it'd hit differently. she stood up and she started dancing to the song, she didn't even bother opening her eyes, she was just feeling the song. suddenly, someone grabbed her by her waist. she got startled and turned around who it was. it was only Mia so she smiled, she automatically put her arms around her neck as they were both jamming to the music. Luna broke the silence:

« - will there be no time when you won't startle me?

- your reaction is way too cute to be missed. i thought that at some point you would hit me or even ghost me by annoyance.

- i swear to god, i'll do that next time.

- my name's Mia, — she said by pulling Luna into a hug — i really like your name, Luna. it's pretty cliché to feel like i could reach the moon when i'm around you.

- you do realize it has been exactly a bit more than a day since you know me but you're already hugging me and flirting with me when deep inside i could be a serial killer?

- it's fine, in exchange, you get to call me yours — she winked at Luna — and i'm pretty sure you could kill me just with your looks. »

Luna blushed after that compliment, she knew that Mia was a flirt by nature but she couldn't help but feel her warm cheeks. she was glad that it was already the night so Mia wouldn't be able to see her rosy cheeks at that moment.

they talked right until the sun was up, they were both exchanging laughs and facts about each other. they weren't even tired after talking all night, they were just happy to be together. such a strange feeling, huh? it's been only a day, it was only starting but it looked like their life before knowing each other was nothing compared to that one night. it's like all years of loving someone else was nothing compared to what they felt that night. they got all smiley when they saw the sunrise. after Luna had known more about Mia, she suddenly had an idea. she wanted to be more outgoing, she wanted to have the taste of adventure and of danger: « let's take risks together. i wanna take risks. i wanna see where this will take me. ». Mia didn't expect this, Luna was full of surprises. risks?

what risks?

the truth is Mia liked it, she liked the fact she was willing to take risks. she liked the taste of danger as well.

question is, was she ready? they'll both find out soon, both of them were excited to see where this was going.

she just nodded and they both laid around, each other's head touching as they were watching the sunrise.

Chapter 3

« I'll see you at midnight. »

Luna woke up before 6am. it was summer so the sun was almost rising. she got up and got dressed up quickly. she liked this mood, it wasn't too hot or too cold. plus the sunrise is always a good time to wake up to. she went to her usual spot so she could see the sunrise. her feet brought her back to where she met that oddly mysterious girl. maybe she was hoping to see her again. she brought her sketchbook so she started drawing, she was drawing an old drawing she made. she was having a good time at first but soon she'd be frustrated.
